Privacy policy
Pláta helps you plan meals and shop for groceries. This policy explains what personal data we keep and your rights under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
What we collect
- Account details: your email address, or your name and email from Google if you sign in that way.
- Your tastes: household size, meal preferences, diet, allergies, disliked ingredients, budget and favourite supermarket.
- Your recipes and ratings: dinners planned for you and the meals you love or skip.
- Feedback: anything you send us through “Report an issue”.
If you don’t sign in, your plan stays on your device for that visit only and we store nothing about you.
Why we use it
Only to run Pláta: planning your week, building your grocery list and improving suggestions. The legal basis is providing the service you asked for. We do not sell your data or show you targeted ads.
Who processes it
Your data is stored securely with our hosting provider in the EU/EEA or under approved safeguards. Recipe suggestions are prepared by a trusted processor that does not keep your information.
How long we keep it
For as long as you have an account. Delete your account and everything is removed permanently.
Your rights
You can access, correct, export or delete your data at any time from My preferences → Your account. You can also complain to the Data Protection Commission in Ireland (dataprotection.ie).
Allergies and health
Allergy information is only used to leave ingredients out of suggestions. Always check product labels yourself.
